| Content: | Der Teilbestand enthält über 90'000 Schwarz-weiss-Fotografien (plus wenige Dutzend Farbfotografiern) und stellt damit von den späten 1930er- bis Ende der 1980er-Jahre den Hauptbestand des SBB-Fotodienstes dar. Zum Teil wurden parallel dazu auch Farbaufnahmen gemacht (primär Bestände HC und HK). Ein grosser Teil der Fotografien wurde nie veröffentlicht, hauptsächliche Veröffentlichungsstelle ist das SBB-Nachrichtenblatt. |

| System of arrangement: | Chronologische Ordnung. Ursprünglich waren die Negative der L-Serie in der R-Serie integriert. Die L-Nummern folgen dem Schema der R-Nummern, d.h. es wurde jeweils die nächste Nummer verteilt. Zwischen R_0345 und R_0347 kommt also z.B. L_0346, R_346 ist somit nicht vorhanden. |
